Agrigate
is a subject information gateway for resources, both online and
offline, identified as valuable to those participating in agricultural
research. Agrigate is a project of the libraries of the Universities of
Melbourne, Adelaide and Queensland, and the Commonwealth Scientific and
Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia; it is one of a
number of Australian subject information gateways coordinated by the
National Library of Australia.

AGRIS is the international information system for the agricultural
sciences and technology. It was created by the Food and Agriculture
Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1974, to facilitate
information exchange and to bring together world literature dealing with
all aspects of agriculture. It is a cooperative system in which
participating countries input references to the literature produced
within their boundaries and, in return, draw on the information provided
by the other participants. To date, 240 national, international and
intergovernmental centres participate from all over the world.

AROW:
Agricultural Research Organizations on the Web contains a
worldwide directory of over 1000 organisations and universities working
in agricultural research that have a home page on the web. It is updated
on a regular basis. It is a browsable site that can be searched by web
address, organisation title and acronym, or country. The AROW directory
is maintained in association with Wisard, the Web-based Information
System for Agricultural Research for Development. Wisard also includes
research organisations without websites.

InfoAgrar is the agricultural information and documentation
service of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The
focus is on information related to agriculture in Africa, Latin and
Central America, Asia, and Eastern Europe. It is a unique service for
those seeking practical information and support in agricultural
development cooperation as well as issues related to information
management.

is a global link to research on agriculture, hunger, poverty and the
environment which allows users to search for digital information on
Future Harvest Center, CGIAR and FAO websites.

World Environment Library - New Zealand Digital Library Project
provides full text access to publications in the fields of agriculture,
biodiversity, climate change, environmental impact assessment, energy,
health, natural resources, policy, sustainable development, waste

Journal of Dairy Science:
(Free Full text) The official journal
of the American Dairy Science Association, JDS publishes results of
original research in dairy foods, physiology and management; nutrition,
feeding, and calves; and genetics and breeding. For the past four years,

HighWire Press: Sources of free On-Line full text articles and
journals : ighWire Press work
with scholarly societies and responsible publishers to host their
content online. They do not own the material, nor do they set the
journals' policies. HighWire contains 742,863 free
full-text articles as of July 2004. HighWire Press at Stanford
University develops and maintains the Web versions of important
journals in biomedicine and other disciplines. A list of journals
with free full-text articles online is available. See also

: POPLINE, the world's largest

issues, is now available free of charge on the Internet. All 280,000
citations, representing published and unpublished literature, can be
accessed for no charge.

PubMed
: PubMed, a service of the National
Library of Medicine, includes over 14 million citations for biomedical
articles back to the 1950's. These citations are from MEDLINE and
additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites
providing full text articles and other related resources. To access the
full text available, please make sure that the box "Free full-text only"
is ticked when you perform your search.

PubMedCentral: The U.S. National
Library of Medicine's digital archive of life sciences journal
literature claims to offer open access to over 80,000 articles from over
100 journals. Access to much of the full text on PMC is free and
unrestricted. A journal may make its content available in PMC as soon as
it is published, or it may delay its release in PMC for a specified
period after initial publication. Current PMC journals have delays
ranging up to two years, with most releasing their material six months
or less after publication.
